What is reflexology and how does it work?

Practiced for thousands of years in Egypt, China and South America, the now well respected complimentary therapy technique being effective by controlled pressure by a properly trained and qualified Reflexologist to the correct points of the feet or hands, bringing balance to the whole body, not just a particular part of the body.

Reflexologists do not diagnose, prescribe or make any claims to cure/heal.  The reflex reaction to the treatment brings about the body's own healing mechanisms.

How long will a treatment take?

You should allow at least an hour and a half for the first treatment as a detailed consultation is carried out

After the initial treatment future treatments take approximately 45mins to an hour.

Reflexology in the workplace treatments take 30mins per person as much of the consultative process is carried out prior to treatment. VRT followed by a short traditional treament to improve efficacy. To arrange an appointment to discuss how reflexology in the workplace can help your organisation reduce stress related absenteeism, please call me on 01793 840764.  Pricing structure to be arranged as part of measurable and ongoing programme to reduce absenteeism.(Minimum of 4 staff in one morning or afternoon session)

Companies like the BBC, GWR FM and Brunel FM have already benefited from this.

How often do I need treatment?

Initially a minimum of 3 sessions, once a week for 3 weeks, is suggested as reflexology is not a "quick fix" as most discomfort and disease didn't arise in a short time, therefore unlikely to clear in just one treatment.  A review is carried out at this stage and either a continuation of treatments to maintain good health if reflexology is proving to be effective for that person, or a referral to appropriate reputable professional practitioners in other fields is made. (See Referral Partners Tab)
